At Stalbridge Pre-School we feel that routines for young children help them settle more quickly, feeling safe and secure in the knowledge of 'what happens next’.
A member of staff will become your child's Key Person giving your child a 'special' adult in the setting that will foster their well-being and assess their learning. We recognise that strong partnerships between home and Pre-School are paramount in helping children achieve, we use an online system called Tapestry to ensure parents are kept up to date with their child's development through observations and photos we share with you, we will also offer ideas to support learning at home and ask you tell us about your child's interests and achievements. We ensure that our environment, routines, activities and resources both indoors and outdoors are planned to engage and stimulate your child enabling them to progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage. 8.45am ~ Arrival: A register is taken as children arrive, the children also self register by taking their name badge as they enter and placing on the name board in the play room. 9.00am ~ Date, Weather Board & Happy Birthday. 9.10am ~ Free Play – indoors and outdoors (children can choose where they’d like to play) 10.00am ~ Snack Bar Opens/children are invited to have snack 10.30am ~ Free Play - indoors and outdoors 11.20am ~ Tidy up Time 11.30am ~ Group Time (staying/going home groups adult led activities) 11.45am ~ End of morning session for am attendees/full day attendees prepare for lunch. 12.00pm ~ Lunch Time (packed lunch required) 12.30pm ~ Quiet time activities (whilst others finish their lunch) 12.45pm ~ Free play + planned activities - indoors and outdoors 2.45pm ~ Tidy up time followed by group time 3.00pm ~ Home Time (children are to be collected on time to avoid a ‘late collection charge’) Vertical Divider
